DIY: Homemade Body Scrubs

Hello everyone,
i woke up earlier this morning in the mood for a summer spa day at home! So i figured i would just treat myself with a body scrub. Body scrubs are important during summer because they remove dead skin and clogged pores and allow new skin cells to surface and accept moisture. You can get rid off summer skin problems like pimples, heat rashes, skin darkening just with a good body scrub! But, that doesn't mean you need to spend money. I mean, why should you pay 15 or 20 euros for a body scrub when you can make one just as good on your own? So, here are two recipies for homemade body scrubs that have really worked for me.

Scrub #1

You'll need: 2tsp olive oil
                   1/2 cup white cane sugar
1-3 drops lavender essential oil (optional)

This scrub is good for you because the olive oil is full of vitamins and minerals that can help moisturize the skin. Also, the lavender is great for healing damaged skin like cuts and burns and regenerating skin cells.

Scrub #2

You'll need: 1/2 cup white cane sugar
                   1/2 cup grinded coffee beans
                   1/2 cup almond oil

This scrub fights cellulite because of caffeine. Caffeine is the active ingredient in many cellulite creams and helps to tighten blood vessels. Almond oil, on the other hand, is amazing for moisturizing all skin types.

Don't forget to store your scrub in a little airtight lid jar in the fridge. Keep it away from water because it disolves the sugar. This way it should last about 2-3 weeks. Remember you are worthy of a glowing skin!;)
